There is a reason that smashed avo is so popular. It is damn delicious! You can get super creative with it or just keep it simple, you can’t go wrong. I had to share this with you all because this recipe is perfect for anyone who have dietary requirements, if you are gluten intolerant, sub rye toast for your favourite gluten free toast.
This plant based, easy to digest smashed avo is the perfect breakfast, lunch or even dinner!
Ingredients:
2 slices rye sourdough or your favourite bread
1/2 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
1/2 ripe avo
1 cup sprouts
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 lime
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Toast your bread
2. Place chickpeas, cumin, paprika and water in a fry pan on medium and cook until water is absorbed
3. Smash your avo onto toast, load up your toast with the rest of your toppings
4. ENJOY!
